As you may know, I work as a psychotherapist. I’ve been working in an integrated behavioral health setting at UC San Diego since I was in graduate school and continued there after I finished my master’s degree. I feel fortunate to have received quality training and experience, but I decided that I wanted to gain experience in a different environment as well and started looking into joining a group practice.
A few weeks ago, I found one that I vibed with and joined Coherence Associates here in San Diego!
I’m so excited about this new venture for many reasons, one of them being that they work with athletes. I am very passionate about the intersection of exercise and mental health and am looking forward to having the opportunity to integrate exercise into treatment. I truly believe that exercise is medicine, and research affirms this.
If you’d like to know more about the work I do, you can check out my bios on the Coherence website and Psychology Today and follow me on Instagram. For San Diego locals, I’ll be working out of the Encinitas office (but can do walk and talk therapy all over San Diego which is just what it sounds – walking/moving while engaging in therapy) and also for anyone in the state of California, I have the ability to do teletherapy – which is therapy through a secure video platform!
I know therapy can be intimidating, so I’d be happy to do a Q&A to demystify the process. If that’s something you’d be interested in, let me know in the comments below!
